Hamilton Steam Water Heating Packages

Standard Equipment
- Hamilton ships all of it's steam water heating packages with more than
just the minimum controls required to do the job. We provide the highest
quality float and thermostatic steam traps and self contained steam
control valves as well as wye strainers preceding each control group. We
supply (2) steam traps to eliminate the leading cause of steam control
failure: water logged steam lines feeding the control. The first steam
trap is ahead of the steam control and the second is after the primary
heat exchanger. All storage tanks 200 gallons or less are glasslined,
insulated and jacketed. |
Options - Air or electrically operated steam
control valves. Cold water pre-heating (condensate cooling) heat exchangers are
available as an integral part of the water heating system or as a stand alone
product. Cement lined storage tanks can be supplied in lieu of the standard
epoxy or glasslined tanks. All tanks 220 gallons or larger are available with a
variety of insulating and jacketing options and in horizontal configurations.

The
Eliminator - provides up to 405 gallons
per hour of 150°F water depending on the model selected. This system
will eliminate the need for a separate water heater by utilizing the
wasted energy from your return condensate and the excess steam capacity
from your steam boiler (if required). The Eliminator also
eliminates the need for electrical, gas and flue installations to
provide hot water. It virtually eliminates the problems associated with
a gas fired water heater in the typical dry cleaning plant environment
(corrosion of pilot assemblies, troublesome vent dampers etc...).
Utilizing the technology developed for their larger capacity systems,
they have also eliminated the problems and inefficiencies associated
with the steam injection, steam to water mixing valves and single coil
style water heating systems. This family of our product line begins with

Hamilton High Efficiency Vertical Steam Boilers

Tubeless Design - This unique, patented
design allows for a smooth, obstruction free steam side surface and
results in higher efficiency, less costly maintenance and longer service
life. The solid metal heat-ductors on the fire side provide ample
heating surface to keep efficiencies at 80% or above. There are no
internal flue tubes as with other brands of steam boilers to burn out or
scale up. Your Hamilton boiler will be producing steam at its rated
efficiency long after other brands have been replaced or re-built!
Controls/Safeties - Hamilton ships all

Options - If overall finished height is a
problem, Hamilton offers an optional horizontal draft diverter on its
atmospheric models 7 - 20 H.P. lowering the equipment height by 6" -
12" (installed differences may be greater depending on clearances required
by local code). Other options include a night operating pressure switch
(normally for high pressure operations), time clock and electronic ignition
systems.

Horizontal Return Tubular (HRT) Design -
This design incorporates 10 square feet of heating surface per boiler
horsepower for higher efficiency, quicker, drier steam and longer
service life. Using this much heating surface lowers the surface
temperature of the internal flue tubes which greatly reduces or even
eliminates scaling while substantially extending service life. Lower
stack temperatures than our typical competitor's design indicate a much
higher efficiency at 80% or above. Your Hamilton boiler will be
producing steam at its rated efficiency long after other brands have
been replaced or re-built!

Options - Your Hamilton HRT boiler can be
ordered with a bolt on, removable base as well as a horizontally terminated
stack connection if site dimensions are a problem. Additional openings in the
boiler shell allow for field changing of the water level and other controls to
the opposite side. Other options include night operating pressure switch
(normally for high pressure operations), time clock and electronic ignition
systems.

Horizontal Design - This design
incorporates the best method for insuring long, efficient element life:
a minimum of 4" of "mud" clearance below heating
element(s). The horizontal design also delivers quicker, drier steam
because of a larger steam release area than competitor's vertical
"box" styles. The entire outer shell of the boiler is
insulated with 2 inches of thermafibre felt, minimizing jacket
losses.Your Hamilton boiler will be producing steam or hot water at peak
efficiency long after other brands have been replaced or re-built!

Options - Your Hamilton horizontal electric
boiler can be ordered in 200, 208, 240, 346, 380, 400, 480, 550 and 575
voltages, in either 50 or 60 hz. Control transformers, 115 volt, can also be
provided if only the operating voltage is available. Other options include a
night operating pressure switch (for normally high pressure operations), time
clock and electronic staging sequence control systems.
